yellow on green
So I haven't gone in to work the past two days (the last month or so I can do that without too much prior notice or a PTO) to try and finish off some PR stuff for the Wiz. Really, what I've done is sit at the fence.
For the first time in the four years I've been here, S'n'S has the fence for Carnival. I know why - because every person in the organization is involved with the Carnival show, making it very hard to find two people to hold the fence while a dress rehearsal is going on. We'll see if it's worth it when the shows happen. Will there be butts filling all the seats? Let's hope so.
I have mixed feelings about publicity for this show. I feel proud of some things and vexed by some. The shirts were a bit of a disaster and I got behind my timeline on several things and went over budget. However, we did take the fence and hopefully (if anyone shows up), we'll chalk tonight. I like how the posters turned out, we're listed in everything except Readme (my fault), and there are already 100 people who have reserved tickets online for the show.
Here's to hoping my estimate for tickets/programs will be low and we'll sell out every show.
As for work, I'm still trying to feel things out. Everyone is nice and the company is interesting - I just hope I can do everything that they think I can.
I'm going to try and watch Goodbye, Lenin now at the fence. Or maybe I'll watch the Spongebob movie. Or play Sims 2. Or sleep.
