QED Smackdown!
Well, the year is over. Two grades are already in (an A in Radio Play, despite never having handed in the final project...yet, and a B in Playwriting - which is disappinting, but giving credit to the Snipesanator since I was late for half the classes and missed one). I have one paper yet to do (horrible student that I am) and I have an apartment for next year. It's all happening. I think I've said that before.
As for other things...
I moved the air conditioner from my old room to my new room. Just in time, it seems as Pittsburgh decides that now is the summer of our discomfort. Katie leaves on Thursday for Portland, which is sad sad sad. I always feel like I never have had enough time with her, despite spending every minute of every day with her. We went to the crepes place in Shadyside this morning. Yum.
Mayhew and Lakshmi came back to Pittsburgh this weekend to visit. I played baseball with them on Sunday afternoon and then played video games into the night with Mayhew and Kevin. It was fun. It was good to see both of them again, and they seem to be, well, just like they were a year ago. Good to know that leaving CMU doesn't change you into...I don't know. Someone else?
I started work at WQED yesterday. It seems like it's going to be fun - I like who I'm working for, and it looks like I get to do bunches of web stuff. In addition to simple content updating, also seeing what real webmasters do in real life. More on that as the summer progresses, I'm sure.
The board meeting on Sunday was pretty long, once again. We definately don't adhere to Robert's Rules of Order (which I read for the first time two days ago). Brian talks for way too long. Sigh. Maybe we can actually do something about this year. I don't know. It's tough because we're all peers - the same age; but it's also tough because we all don't want to sit and talk about the same thing, saying the same things, for long periods of time. I don't know what I'm saying. I never know what I'm saying when I talk about S'n'S politics.
Anyway, I should go write my film festival paper. Then, I'll actually be completely done with everything ever for this school year. Ew. I'm all sweaty.
