Liberals can whine all they want about the Freedom Tower, but check it out:
If you like skiing and gay marriage, you can now move to Canada.
If you like beaches and gay marriage, you can now move to Spain.
Here's the deal. The US is currently more conservative than the average college student would like. We're a little more arrogant than the average college student thinks we should be. I still love this country. Are we doomed? No. Should Bush and Blair answer for the Downing Street Memo? Yes.
But it's almost as if the vast majority of liberals don't care anymore. They don't care about what President Bush says. The Iraq war is real, and although I don't think the political morale of this country can last 12 years, we certainly won't have troops out by December. What does this mean for all of us down here? I don't know. I don't have answers; I haven't thought that much about it.
In other news...
We had a dinner party where we played charades last night, which was kind of odd, because there was an elephant in the room the whole time. We may have forgotten about it for a few moments, but it was there.
I still remember his audition for SotR: A Trivial Pursuit. He was good. Good luck, wherever you are.

You had a dinner party? And I wasn't invited?
I'm sure that seems shallow.
But still.

I didn't have a dinner party. Beej made some chicken and Julie made some pie. They borrowed Katie's mixer.
So we went over to Beej's place and ate it. It was a small informal get together. Not really a dinner party.
