Guitar!

As if signing up for NaNoWriMo wasn't crazy enough (at least I convinced two other loonies to do it also), I also managed to find the Puzzle Boat and bought Guitar Hero, both of which - alone - would have kept me occupied for several months. Boiled down: most likely, I will have no chance of finishing my novel. Still, I have more than 20 days of hope before the truth crushes me over Thanksgiving weekend.

We played football again this past Saturday. Afterwards, we played games again. Then, after that, we went to a bar and listened to some bad karaoke. It was probably the first time that I've been in a bar, and even though I didn't get anything to drink, I probably had more fun than I care to admit.

Maybe I'll start over on my novel, because my 800+ words that I have now are probably something I'd want to cultivate and nurture and edit. It might be better to start on something where I can throw caution to the wind and just write. Or that could just be another excuse for not continuing my current novel.

If we go karaoke bowling, maybe I'll sing I Believe in a Thing Called Love.

Seriously this made me miss pgh. I have never been able to fully comprehend the rules of football, but i like running around in grass a lot. I really like games. And i tend to enjoy the occasional bar visit (especially when the barkeep wears a little ribbon on his sleeve).

OMG I LOVE THAT SONG! Yes, you simply MUST do that at karaoke bowling.

And I'm glad you had fun. I did too.
