Tap to Do 1 Damage
A peaceful weekend.
Not much to do, nobody else was around the house. Just me and my new Netflix DVDs. Yum. Although, of course, it would have been better if Katie was here. I'll call her after this. And I'll make myself a turkey sandwich. With Nutella.
I ended up leaving work early on Friday because I had a massive headache and was falling asleep at my desk. I don't know exactly what happened, but I suffered through the PKP ceremony later that day (I think I hid it well). The PKP ceremony is always a fun thing to do because Nancy is crazy (in a good way) and there's always good free food to be had after all the inductees leave to be inducted.
Yesterday, I went down to the Strip District with Gerrit and Vollman. It was good to get out of the house, walk around (in the rain), look at all the fresh fish at Wholey's, buy some Italian bread from a nice little bakery place. Stuff like that. Then, me and Gerrit gave some money to a homeless bum "selling" us roses, and the Chinese guy who we bought food from came out and berated us for being so naive and feeding the guy's drinking habit. I felt bad because I didn't want to argue with the Chinese guy because, well, I didn't know him, but it made me feel kind of nice to give money to the guy. I had it, he didn't, I felt fortunate for what I had, it was a nice day, and he was a funny guy. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt - that he would use it for something nice or necessary. Then, after the guy yelled at us, I felt kind of had and naive and stupid. Oh well. I guess I can just go around feeling both at once.
Then Gerrit came to my house and we played Magic for a goodly 3 hours or so. He won almost every time, and I realized my old Magic decks were sorely constructed.
I am building multiple Lord of the Rings decks now. I hope they don't suck. All my grades came back - 3 As and the one B in Playwrighting. Which means I'm on the Dean's List again (hooray!) and I get to go eat some of the Pad Thai sometime next fall. Anyway, my cards are spread out all over the floor downstairs. So I should finish making my decks and clean them up and watch my last DVD so I can mail it tomorrow. And make a sandwich with turkey and Nutella. And call Katie.
Life's pretty good. I wouldn't mind the whole working thing, I think. Having my evenings and weekends free. If only Katie were here. Soon.
Oh, and I did laundry yesterday too. Finally.
