thefenceatcmu

Well, there's nothing like spending a Friday night out on the cut, in a tent owned by Marcus, under a raining sky, with Katie by my side, listening to Bat Boy.

What's been going on with me these past few weeks? Not much. Work is work. It looks like I'll be doing both the WQED and Web/Portal Services jobs right up until school starts. That's fine with me - it just means no real break for me. It also looks like I'll be working for Web/Portal Services into the school year, which is just fine with me, too.

Right now, I have enough credits to graduate early (assuming I pass Networks this semester), so we'll see how that goes, too. I'm not even really sure what exactly I want to do yet, although working on the west coast with Maxis with Hunter, Cheryl, and co. sounds pretty enticing.

In other news, my parents will be here tomorrow. They're coming into town to help a family friend move in (she's an international student), so I'll see them and help unpack the girl's belongings into New House.

I'll also be seeing them as I go to China this winter break. Yes, that's right, I'm headed back to the ol' Shanghai.

Anyway, why am I out in a tent on a rainy night, before even orientation has started? Well, Scotch'n'Soda has decided to take the fence for orientation. This is a great idea. Except Pittsburgh seems to like raining continuously when it's not supposed to. So, we're here just to hold on to our possession of the fence and hope for better weather tomorrow.

Brian bought a Playstation 2. That's not really news that belongs in my blog, but I seem to think my purchase a while ago influenced him. Also, this means we get to play PS2 games over the internet! Woohoo!

Paychecks/paydays are fun. I used to be broke. I think I still am, but I have money in my bank account, so it feels like I'm not. If anything exciting happens at the fence, I'll keep you updated. Or maybe I'll start thefenceatcmu.blogspot.com.
