turkey and cheesecake
So, some more somber news. If this gets pushed through, it might mean that Comcast and Verizon would be the only ways of getting high-speed internet. My experiences with both companies are not terribly favorable.
But now...pictures of the Willy Wonka kids all growed up!
In life, work goes well, and home life goes well. I've kind of been missing out on the reality TV that I usually watch too much of, simply because we've been going out and eating dinner or buying a turkey and cheesecake, or watching episodes of the Newlyweds, or IMing each other from different rooms.
Courtney's back, so it was nice to hang out with her and for Katie to finally have someone to go dress shopping with. I suppose at some point, I should go look at purple tuxes and top hats or something.
I get a paycheck next week, which will (as always) be nice and help pay off the bills. I'm hungry, but it's only mid-morning, which is way too early to get lunch. Maybe I'll go into the kitchen and find something to munch on.
EDIT: Something else I was going to mention, but forgot. For the past week or two, as I drove to and from work, I've passed this building, which is slowly being demolished. Because it wasn't imploded or anything, it's taking quite a while and it's something to see - a crane with a U-shaped metal slab beating at this high-rise until all the pieces fall off. If you want to see for yourself, just go on Penn Avenue until you hit the detour.

i think they didn't want to implode it because a road runs under it. also, weren't the telco rules enabled because the telco's had a monopoly on the telephone lines? dsl still runs on those telephone lines....
everyone seems thoroughly weirded out by augustus, if you ask me.
you can look at each picture and put "augustus is creeping me out" in someone's mind bubble; just put him somewhere outside the photo.
